The modern hearing aid is an advanced miniature sound processor which can be programmed to meet the needs of most hearing-impaired individuals. Based on highly specialized transducers and electronic solutions, remarkable performance can be achieved in spite of challenging conditions with regard to size, supply voltage, and power consumption.
