The transfer function characterizing the system of a loudspeaker and microphone placed in a closed room offers information on magnitude as well as phase colorations introduced. Part of this phase cannot be subject to mathematically ideal equalization, and it is shown in listening tests that unfortunately this phase contribution is sufficiently audible not to regard it : negligible.
