The parameters of a loudspeaker driver are incorporated into a crossover system that realizes the response overall, of passive network plus driver, which the designer intended. A passive network equalizes the high-frequency driver to a target response, then a conventional high-pass filter is modified to a complementary response, so as to realize the desired response overall. A predictable low-pass response is also realized.
