This paper describes a computer-assisted system for training listeners in the detection, identification, and evaluation of timbre differences. The use of listener profiles describing individual performance levels allow the training to be adapted to individual listeners. The system provides a flexible tool for the training and objective evaluation of a listener's abilities.
