Measurement of Distributed Acoustic Systems Using Maximum-Length Sequences

Impulse test methods represent a modern acoustic tool for evaluation of properties of complex systems, such as the acoustic impedance and transfer functions. They enable a detailed observation of various physical phenomena taking place in the acoustic system under test. The paper concentrates mainly on the impulse-response measurement technique for distributed acoustic systems, for example as waveguides with various cross-section areas, using the maximum-length sequences.
