Education in sound for students who do not intend to become sound practitioners but use sound design, recording, and editing as part of a professional process, requires a different content, structure, and approach than the education designed for audio specialists. This paper describes the results of two research projects: the first -Sound Production and Postproduction Education for Nonaudio Specialists in Asia,- initiated in 1993 June and completed in 1994 September, and the second, continued under the same title, completed in 1995 December.
