A novel nonlinear controller based on the theory of exact input-output linearization is presented, using a state space model of the nonlinear electrodynamical loudspeaker in a closed cabinet. The model comprises three major nonlinearities due to cone displacement dependent force factor, (suspension) stiffness and self-inductance. Simulation and measurement results of the controller implemented on a digital signal proceessor (DSP), are given.
