A closed-form expression for loudspeaker power output in a six-wall room based on the summation of images is presented. This is then applied to a comparison between the output power of a single loudspeaker versus a stereo pair. The implications of the results on the arrangement of loudspeakers for optimum low-frequency performance are discussed.
