With wave field synthesis a high-quality sound field can be obtained for audio reproduction. A distinction is made between the direct field, the early reflections, and the reverberant part of the synthesized wave field. The quality of the synthesized sound field can be expressed in physical parameters that are related to the subjective quality of the sound field.
