This work examines the use of various methods for normal speech features extraction on Greek esophageal speech. FO, formant frequencies, and speech power envelopes are examined. A method of resynthesizing esophageal vowel sounds by the use of convolution of an ARMA estimate of the speaker's vocal tract impulse response and a periodic pulse train is proposed for voice-quality enhancement.
