New intelligent methods for reduction of noise and disturbances that can originate in a telecommunication channel are proposed and examined. Typical audio signals of a telephone channel were perceptually coded and, at the same time, intelligently filtered out. Some details of the elaborated algorithms are presented, and the results of experiments are discussed.
