A nonswitching output stage topology is presented, which can control the distribution of signal current in the output transistors. The method is contrasted against more established configurations, and the fundamentals of error-correction theory are reviewed. The technique creates a nonlinear current distribution where the distribution law can be controlled and bias current programmed. Circuits are supported with Spice simulations and considerations of overall amplifier topology.
