Methods of Tape Recordings Authentication

The problem of audio tape recording authentication for forensic purposes is presented. The procedure of tape recording authentication is presented and illustrated by performed experiments. The experiments, based mainly but not exclusively on electronic analyses of recorded signals, indicate that almost each manner of tape recording modification can be detected. Electronic editing of the recording is, however, most difficult to detect.
