A special circum-aural dynamic 2/4-channel headphone for spatial auditory events was explained at the AES 96th and 98th Conventions. This paper presents the first, small, supra-aural headphone technique which opens the possibility for a WALKMAN surround sound reinforcement of the human pinna without directional filter banks. Results of the measurements and further precondition for an optimized 3-D sound reproduction are discussed.
