Digital waveguide models of organ pipes can serve as a basis for real-time sound synthesis algorithms. A new technique for estimation of nonlinear function modeling the interaction between the air jet and the resonator of the pipe is proposed. Problems related to the application of this technique to match the desired spectra of synthetic pipe organ sounds are discussed.
