Effects of B1-product Nonlinearities on Dynamic Resonance and QT

Document Thumbnail

The low-frequency behavior of an electrodynamic loudspeaker is strongly influenced by nonlinearities in both the suspension and the motor structure. The nonlinearity of the motor can be represented by a Bl-product versus displacement curve. As a result of a nonlinear Bl-product, the resonance and QT both vary with increasing input voltage. This paper shows how different Bl-product versus displacement curves cause resonance and QT to vary with input voltage.
