A 25 MIP DSP/CODEC is described featuring two ADCs and six DACs. The DSP core consists of large on-chip data and program memories, a 24x24 multiply-accumulate unit and dual 48-bit accumulators. The high performance CODEC employs 1-bit delta-sigma modulation and digital filtering techniques. The IC provides a fully integrated solution for Digital Dolby Prologic, automotive audio signal processing, musical instrument digital signal processing, effects processing for Dolby Digital (AC3) and digital Karaoke entertainment systems.
