This paper describes a system for interactive production of music over the Internet. Using the DRGN (Distributed Real-Time Groove Network) software, musicians use a distributed computing model to play music interactively through the Internet. Members meet in a virtual recording studio to socialize and collaborate on music. Using MIDI, regular recording sessions bring together a pool of music fans, member musicians, engineers, and producers.
