After a general discussion of problems of limitation of audio signals the realization of a digital limiter for audio signals is presented. The hardware concept, the structure of the software for the digital signal processor, and a PC-based shell for the use of the digital stereo limiter are described. Finally, an overview is given about the technical features and the results of practical audio tests.
