A Transistorized Dynamic Microphone-Amplifier for Telephone Handset

LTV Research Center has developed a device which is intended to provide a direct replacement for the carbon microphone presently used in telephone systems. The carbon unit has been used exclusively since the inception of the telephone system and, although it has certain inherent limitations which disqualify it for high quality applications, it does provide reasonably intelligibly speech reproduction.
