The Influence of Digital Equipment over the Recording Industry

Digital equipment is often cheap but powerful and easy to operate. Consequences on the recording industry are investigated in several stages, from preproduction to mastering. Interesting opportunities are given also to small facilities, reducing the old gap with big studios. Both engineers and managers are called for wiser skills. Digital equipment seems to make quality (without more quantity) the key word to professional results.
