Over the last few years, there has been a growing interest in Finland in using old industrial halls for different kinds of cultural events. The conversion of these often very large halls into places with suitable acoustics for musical events introduce new challenges. This paper will discuss the acoustic and sound reinforcement problems of converting a very large hall in Helsinki into a musical stage.
