A technique is presented for reconstructing a set of head-related transfer functions and source/listener distance scaling dynamics which is synchronized with a two-dimensional palette on the graphical window. With such an interface, users may design a virtual conferencing environment, steering the virtual positions of teleconferees. Implementation of selective (dialog) communication mode is discussed, and the configuration of personal headphone teleconferencing prototype is proposed.
