When the low frequency parameters of a loudspeaker in free air are known, the closed box loudspeaker system parameters, including the effect of the filling material, can be calculated by measuring the velocity to current ratio frequency response of the system. By repeating this measurement with different amounts of filling material, the effect of such material can be observed and therefore optimized.
