The advanced private broadband LAN for multimedia, especially that of the new active control system for the audio field with full digital audio signals, has been developed. Less than 256 loudspeakers with both DSP and amplifiers are controlled accurately, individually and independently by digital control signals from the portable control unit. This system realizes an excellent audio-visual environment because of its affinity with the CATV.
