Transient Distortion in Feedback Audio Power Amplifiers

Document Thumbnail

In this paper a modified model of an audio power amplifier is proposed. From its analysis, design criteria are derived which enable avoidance of hard TIMD in the first stages of amplifiers with lead and lag compensation. It has been proven that lead compensation asserts lower susceptibility to transient overdrive of the first stage of an amplifier than does lag compensation.
