The Sound System of the Auditorium Stravinsky in Montreaux

Document Thumbnail

This new concert hall was designed for classical music: its volume of 18000 square meters gives a mean reverberation time of 2.2 s with 1800 listeners. In order to allow other musical events (popular music, jazz, shows) and congregations (speech) with bigger or smaller audiences, a PC-controlled sound system was specifically designed and installed. This paper describes the system and reviews the actual performances against the planned acoustical and audio parameters.
