Active Feedforward Frequency Compensation in Audio Power Amplifiers

Document Thumbnail

Double-channel forward path is the essence of feedforward frequency compensation. The auxiliary amplifying channel adds high-frequency signal components to an internal point of the main path. The theoretical aspects of feedforward compensation, by means of series addition or parallel summing, is discussed. It is shown that this topology, as an error-correction structure with active error feedback, has no substantial advantages over conventional frequency compensation methods.
