1993 December was the launch date for Euro-ISDN. The unified implementation of ISDN allows European countries to communicate via this new transmission format. This network is proving to be a powerful tool for broadcasters. Audio applications are being discovered, particularly since the availability of compressed digital coding, which allows broadcasters and production facilities to send high-quality audio over ISDN lines.
