Controlled Image Design is a method for controlling early reflections in sound monitoring rooms by redirection of the early sound energy. It has been used for the design of three new control rooms in the BBC's Broadcasting House, London. The results of the first acoustic tests are presented. The problems of reflections from the top surface of the mixing console are also discussed.
