The computer-based tonal audiometry system now being developed is presented. It is being developed using object-oriented programming and a personal computer workstation. The system's operation together with some aspects of its software and hardware construction are presented. Prospects of use of computers in various kinds of audiometric tests are examined, and examples of algorithms for the realization of audiometric procedures are given.
