A dual single-chip electronic switch is described, specifically designed for audio applications. A "T" switch configuration provides 120dB of "off" isolation, while an actively driven JFET yields 0.002% harmonic distortion, even when driving a 5k ohm load. Internal ramp circuitry provides guaranteed break-before-make action together with negligible charge injection (50pC). Additionally, protection circuitry prevents "breakthrough" when the signal handling capability of the switch is accidentally exceeded.
