Conventional wow and flutter measuring procedures, using the analog signal representation, require special measurement syst;ems, including an ideally recorded test signal. The measurement procedure is well known and depends strongly on the standard (IEC, DIN, NAB, JIS). A change of standard (test frequency, weighting filter characteristics) results in a change of hardware.
