Some loudspeaker suspension materials cause a considerable creep in dynamic behavior. In this paper the traditional loudspeaker model is expanded to incorporate creep, employing linear viscoelastic theory. Measurements on two different woofers demonstrate that the traditional model is inadequate for parameter determination of loudspeakers with substantial creep, while the expanded model structure is able to fit the measured data very well.
