A new 48-channel DASH digital recorder is presented. It combines the advantages of well-known analog recorders with the benefits of digital technology. Incorporated are a set of high quality A/D converters using passive antialiasing filters, digital audio processing based on special LSIs and programmable DSPs, sophisticated software allowing automatic calibration and testing of the machine, a sound memory board to perform a variety of new functions as well as a powerful synchronizer for audio and video applications.
