New design methods are described for the arrangement of individual or stacked radiators so as to achieve a uniform sound irradiation. Distinction is made between curves of equal coverage (isobeam curves). By means of a novel computer program, these correlations are shown along with interference studies permitting the precalculation of possible comb filter phenomena. Thus it is possible to avoid unfavorable radiator arrangements already in the planning phase and to take possibly necessary alignment measures. The explanations are complemented by some comparisons based on practical measurements.
