Heat Dissipation and Power Compression in Loudspeakers

In the Professional Audio Market today there are a variety of transducers with high power ratings. As these drivers generally are less than 5% efficient they convert almost all of their input power to heat. How this heat is dealt with will be the subject of this presentation. From this discussion, conclusions about Power Compression effects in a variety of popular designs will be revealed.
