Loudspeaker Directional Response Measurement

Document Thumbnail

For a loudspeaker directional response measurement system to qualify as rigorous, several requirements must be met. The system must have adequate acuity in both frequency and space, and the directional information must be properly filtered before sampling. A fully automated pink-noise based system is described which satisfies all of these criteria, and some of the pitfalls of less rigorous approaches are illustrated.
