In a previous paper several signal interpolation methods to suppress impulse noise have been presented. These methods have been compared from a subjective point of view following some informal listening. A numerical evaluation of these techniques is proposed. The evaluation criteria are obtained from the reconstruction error locally introduced by the interpolator. This evaluation is calculated from a data base which contains synthesized and real signals.
