This paper describes a DSP-based digital graphic EQ which has been developed for the new PA-system at the Wembley-arena in London. A special EQ-topology has been used in order to avoid phase problems and interference between adjacent bands. The software control of all EQ-parameters, as well as for the integrated delay and fader function, together with a 24 bit (56 bit) processing wordlength, offer improved flexibility, fast switching-times between different EQ-settings, improved sound quality while also enabling the use of fiberoptic links.
