The application of localised room equalization allows correction of the gross frequency response errors caused by the excitation of a listening room's natural modes. The area over which equalization is effective is frequency dependent and simulations are included in an attempt to both identify this useful area and as a comparison of the performance of various types of room equalizer including multi-channel implementations.
