Zebra Crossing Signalization System for Visually Impaired People Based on the Space Localization Phenomena

Document Thumbnail

One of the most important problem faced by blind and partially sighted people when they travel is the inability to cross the street safely. Existing sound signaling systems are not provided with the facility enabling the impaired person to recognize the right direction when crossing the street. Hence, a new solution using the digital sound synthesis of the signal based on the space localization phenomena is presented and discussed.
