The purpose of this study is to show the applications of signal microprocessors to the realization of acoustical reverberators. The structure of these newly available processors allows real time implementation of linear filters. In this study we have first investigated the working of numerical reverberators based on a dedicated hardware. Then we explored the possible implementation of the corresponding algorithms on a programmable device with a signal processor hardware.
