Miking techniques tend to give a growing place to high quality, transformerless, condenser pressure microphone but, being omnidirectional, their use in stereo pairs leads to troubles with the restitution of the stereophonic image.: The paper presents a way of improving this shortcoming by adjoining a flat panel to each microphone; parameters such as dimensions and angles are experimentally determined, and the results will be discussed.
