Multi-Channel Digitally Delayed Sound System with Perfect Direction Impression

The sound reinforcing system in the open-air theater, Bad Hersfeld was the first time the Delta-Stereophony System had been use in the Fed. Rep. of Germany. The placement of the loud-speakers and their integration into the scenary and in the historical ruins will be described. There are additional numerous system components, such as, wireless mircophones and the monitoring system. The technical values achieved and the acoustical environmental conditions were measured and will also be described. A lot of very good experience was gained during the 11-week run of the performance. The advantages of the Delta Stereophony System could be seen, especially the exact localization of the sound sources.
