This paper describes a newly developed high-speed contact printing system to produce prerecorded tapes for DATs (Digital Audio Taperecorders). Employing a magnetic contact printing technique and using an advanced metal high-IIc mother tape, new barium-ferrite copy tape, high-quality and high-speed duplication was achieved.
