This paper will develop a general theory for bandpass loudspeaker enclosure design. The analytic forms for the transfer functions will be derived and their solution in terms of the enclosure variables will be described. A numerical system simulation will also be done on a computer which will show some typical responses and the effects of many of the parameters which were neglected in the analytic derivation. Bandpass designs of order four through eight will be discussed.
