Problems of Near-Field Sound Reinforcement and of Mobile Sources in the Operation of the Delta Stereophony System (DSS) and Computer Processing of the Same

Document Thumbnail

As the functioning of the DDS process can be demonstrated only if the original reference level is audible with an appropriate intensity, irradiation of low-power sources or playback signals is affected through so-called simulation loudspeakers which are to be installed in the stage area at various points according to the scenary. The correlations between this near-field system, a continuous follow-up of the source and the implied mathematical-physical principles will be explained in the paper. Delay-time consistent follow-up control will be illustrated by an example.
