We have developed a general purpose real-time sound signal processor employing digital signal processing technologies. The system, after receiving both the signal processing program consisting of micro-codes of 32-bits-per-instruction and table of 16-bit multiplication coefficient prepared on a personal computer, performs various processes of sound signals at real time. We applied the system to a digital filter and reverberator, and a desired result was obtained.
