In the field of architectural acoustic design, various kinds of acoustic measurements are necessary, therefore carrying and setting up of signal generators is inevitable. This problem can be resolved by introducing a compact disc, which contains a set of acoustic-measurement signals. For this purpose, the authors synthesized above-mentioned signals digitally by using a computer. Initially a uniformly distributed random sequence was generated by multiplicative congruence method, and Box-Müller transform and spectral shaping by FIR digital filters were applied.
